A thrill-seeking couple, comes up with an idea: they’ll start a cult based upon a religion that they make up. They soon discover that they are great at this, and the high keeps on getting higher from them. The people in the cult are mainly broken people, so the only way out of this mess is for them to wake up before this becomes another Jonestown.

The message of the series is “if we don’t discover our own purpose, we’ll fall for what others designate for us,” as the ones most detached from themselves and their purpose are the ones who fall most hard into the cult, including the leaders who start believing in their own made up religion than they do themselves. This has a Tarantino-like feel to it from the characters and the dialogue.
