Monsters in Medford

A small seaside town in California, where people are very stuck in their ways, starts getting a bunch of new residents: monsters, who recently revealed themselves to be real. While some in the town are accepting, others are not and are determined to get rid of the monsters at any cost. The leader of the anti-monster faction feels this the most when his daughter gets engaged to one of the monsters.

The main message of the series is “prejudice is what makes us monsters,” a lesson both the unaccepting humans and some of the angry monsters learn throughout. It’s has a dark Coen Brothers comedic feel to it, with Jim Hensen type monsters abound.
