Kids on Haight Street navigate their complicated world as they deal with drama from other Haight Street gangs, the people on the street, and each other. Longing to live in the free love movement of the 60’s, they’re forced to constantly challenge themselves from falling into its opposite. The series covers a few different years, mixing around, showing the progression and how some things stay the same.

The message of the series is “living a life of love takes a lot of work,” as the gutter punks are constantly tempted by hatred and fighting, despite the reason they’ve chosen to live on Haight Street. This series feels a bit like a Harmony Korine movie in its raw style.
