Dope Operas
Dope Operas are very similar to what’s commonly regarded as “dramedies.” They could also be thought of as soap operas, series with a continuous, evolving storyline, but these series will all be showing us worlds we don’t normally see in television, and they’ll often be taking us on a disturbing ride.
Filmmaker Examples: Quentin Tarantino, The Coen Brothers (dramas), Sofia Coppola and Harmony Korine.
