Robert, a man who is plagued by regrets, begins going back in time after saying “Macbeth” in a theater, and there’s no way he can stop it. He keeps getting transported to periods in time further and further back, as he struggles to live in the moment of whatever particular moment he happens to be in.

The message of the series is “the past is unchangeable, so we better live in the present” as Robert struggles to make any particular changes, and is constantly taken on this backwards trajectory. This series has time travel elements to it, but unlike time travel movies, he’s stuck in what’s happening. This could have a Cronenberg or even a David Lynch feel to it.
